Overview

DJ Ligal ("we", "us") runs djligal.com and the DJ Ligal mobile apps. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account info: name, email, and password hash when you register.
• Event & booking info: contact details, event date/venue, and payment status you provide through our quote and invoice flows.
• Party participation: display name and the song requests, upvotes, or shoutouts you submit while joined to a live party via a party code or QR.
• Device & log data: IP address, device type, and timestamps used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and debugging.
• Push tokens: if you allow notifications on the mobile app, we store an Expo push token linked to your account.

How we use it

• Operate the website, mobile apps, and live party features.
• Process quotes and invoices (payments are handled by Stripe — we never see full card numbers).
• Send booking, invoice, and party-related notifications.
• Prevent fraud and abuse (rate limiting, moderation of profanity in shoutouts and song titles).

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share only what's needed with service providers who help us run the product: Stripe (payments), our email/SMS provider, push notification services, and our hosting provider. Each acts under its own privacy agreement.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Party participation data (requests, votes, shoutouts) is kept for as long as the party is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for analytics and history. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices

• Review or update your account info from the admin area.
• Disable push notifications from your device settings or the app's notification screen.
• Email us to request access to, export of, or deletion of your data.

Children

DJ Ligal is intended for adults (18+) or teens joining a DJ-hosted party under adult supervision. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email or an in-app notice.
